Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Controller plays a vital role in the Company's financial management and is a key contributor to the operations management team. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage all financial operations and processes, including revenue accounting, physical inventory and standard costing, planning and forecasting, and cash management.  Coordinate the annual planning process to deliver results timely and accurately.  Manage the annual audit and tax filing processes.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with lender and regulatory requirements and US GAAP accounting standards.

  • Operations Support: Support local management teams with the development and analysis of cost accounting methods that meet the needs of the operation.  Collaborate to develop, monitor, and manage the annual planning process.

  • Internal Controls & Business Processes: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.  Document business processes and establish, recommend and revise processes to ensure reliability of data, improve efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and deliver output requirements.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, guidance, and support for strategic initiatives.

  • Team Development: Foster the growth and development of finance team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Education requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
