Maintenance Superintendent
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for planning and organizing all maintenance jobs, manpower scheduling, authorization of work orders, parts, and supplies requisitions, as well as safe work analyses and making sure the teams work safely and follow all safety rules.
Core Responsibilities:
•Develops procedures as required and works continuously to improve maintenance planning policies and processes, including PMI. Ensure procedures are followed by all involved parties.
•Lead all shutdown planning, coordinate maintenance activities during shutdowns ensuring that all shutdown work is planned to achieve compliance with safety, schedule, and cost objectives and be the primary Maintenance Department authority during shutdowns.
•Develop and update Maintenance Planning KPIs to assist in the prioritization and allocation of resources and personnel.
•Interface with Operations personnel on a regular basis to ensure that equipment data, spares requirements, and procedures and documentation are modified as necessary as a result of additions, deletions or modifications to the plant processes or configuration.
•Provide input on budget requirements for maintenance planning.
•Provide regular reports on maintenance planning activities.
•Perform regular audits of planned work packages to ensure that quality is maintained, ensuring that planned work order packages are designed to safely operate without impact to employees, the business, the environment, and the community.
•Contribute to the implementation of new systems/processes and provide guidance, auditing, mentoring and analysis support to the management team.
•Attends and participates in planning meetings to make sure plans are up to date with ongoing work and site needs.
•Maintenance and management of field equipment, including sounders, taglines, field parameter meters, transducers, well packers, tablets, etc., including proactively identifying the need for additional equipment and coordinating with the wellfield management team to procure.
•Proactively identify, manage, and resolve potential problems, conflicts, and schedule issues with shift personnel and contractors/consultants.
Skills and Competencies:
•Computer skills - strong computer literacy skills, database and GIS experience preferred but not required.
•Tradesperson certificate with some 10 plus years maintenance experience and at least 5 years of related supervisory experience.
•Able to meet critical deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
•Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, Internet
•Able to work effectively in both independent and team structures.
•Skilled at promoting teamwork to establish consensus among team and stakeholders.
•Accomplished written and verbal communication skills.
