Maintenance Manager - FIFO
Assist the VP of Mine Maintenance in directing the maintenance activities for one of the premier mining operations in the world.
Responsibilities
Oversee day to day maintenance activities for Mobile and Fixed Equipment assets
Track KPIs related to maintenance performance in safety, productivity, cost and environmental
Active maintenance contractor direction
Participate in monthly review meetings for all maintenance groups
Participate in daily operational review meetings to maintain a good understanding of the ever changing needs of the operation
Assist in annual budgeting process
Capital projects
Develop justifications for Capital projects
Provide oversight for approved maintenance related projects to verify work is done on time and in line with approved funds
Maintain a presence in the maintenance work areas both shops and the field
Verifying maintenance activities are being executed as desired
Staying in touch with maintenance personnel
Searching for opportunities for continued improvement
Understand OHSAS 45001 Safety Management and 14001 management programs and provide oversight for proper beneficial use and continued refinement / improvement
Qualifications
Experience in leadership of large surface mine maintenance organizations
Experience in leadership of large underground longwall mine maintenance organizations will also be considered
Minimum 15+ years of mine maintenance experience
Proven leadership and experience that has resulted in world class results in health and safety, environmental stewardship, maintenance productivity and cost efficiency
Proven utilization of resources and techniques to effectively manage maintenance
Planned / scheduled maintenance

Reliability centered maintenance
Maintenance KPIs through knowledge, promotion and use of ERPs
Proven budgeting and cost management experience

Possess communication and interpersonal skills, which enable effective interactions with other managers, supervisors and staff within and outside of the company
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Spanish language proficiency highly preferred (demonstrated ability to learn a foreign language is acceptable)
Demonstrated workforce development both supervisory and hourly through promotion of world class training
Use and knowledge of the benefits and use of an ERP and maintenance management information systems
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance practices
Strong verbal and written verbal skills with good computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office
Degree in Engineering or applied sciences preferred
