SURVEYOR
The Role:
The purpose of this job is to provide a reliable spatial information service in a safe and timely manner. Duties include survey and production controls and assisting with completion of accurate end of month physical report. You will ensure all company policies and procedures and standards are maintained along with a high standard of safety at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Safety, Health & Environment:
Demonstrate safe behavior at all times.
Promote awareness of SHE practices.
Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHE goals in support of the department, site and company standards.
Function/ Production:
Month end tonnage reconciliation by survey
Maintain up to-date plans and as-builts.
Mark up faces as required using various methods including Total Station
Ensure information is correct and safe for use.
Discuss and present information to the customer in a polite and helpful manner.
Support the Survey Team as required and to the wider Department.
Consistently comply with policies, procedures, agreed values and behaviors and Code of Business Conduct.
Produce work to the quality and time frame required by the customer.
Work the required time frame to produce information/results for the customer
Required Education and Qualifications:
Essential:
Completion of high school diploma or GED. Drafting experience
Previous survey experience, preferably in underground mine
Data Base Organizational Skills
Desirable:
Bachelor’s degree in surveying & Mapping or Mining Engineering is preferred.
Drone Certification
Required Skills, Experiences and Abilities:
Essential:
A safety conscious attitude and behavior
Proficient in operation of Total station/data recorder
Drafting maps and plans from field work
Able to operate mobile vehicle underground
Proficient in Autocad , Deswik, 3D imaging software, Excel and Word
Data processing and reporting
Time management regarding survey completion and producing plans, reports, and other information in the time allotted.
Strong presentation skills
