Well Field Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Managber, the Well Field Manager will occupy a safety sensitive position as a key member of the management team focused on well field data management, operation, maintenance, hydrogeological characterization and optimization during all phases of copper recovery.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Manage groundwater sampling, sample characterization, and other well field data collection activities as required to assess rinsing and leaching performance.
• Manage permit compliance and well field maintenance planning, including the optimization of data management systems and automated reports.
• Manage techs and contractors of well field work over rigs for safety and performance.
• Oversee the monitoring of individual recovery and injection well performance.
• Oversee the preparation of technical reports.
• Lead data monitoring, compliance sampling and routine maintenance of the potable water system, and other water related safety systems, such as eye wash stations. Work with operations to address maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications & Education:
• Experience with groundwater sampling, safe handling of chemicals, and basic laboratory analysis is required.
• Database/data logger experience is preferred.
• Some familiarity with aquifer related regulations is preferred.
• Must be able to effectively manage time, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, technical report writing experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• GIS experience is preferred.
• Candidates will be required to achieve Grade 1 certification for drinking water treatment and distribution within 9 months of hire date.
• 8+ years of management/supervision experience & Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
